🏵️🏵️Struggle is indeed a part of life, but it's essential to approach it with a perspective that fosters hope and resilience rather than despair. In the Quran, Allah (SWT) reminds us, "Do not lose hope in the mercy of Allah" (Quran 39:53). Emphasizing struggle alone can lead to a despair that is contrary to our faith. It's important to remember the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that after hardship comes ease, highlighting that challenges ultimately serve a greater purpose. The narrative of 'struggle porn' risks glorifying suffering and obscures the beauty of seeking joy and contentment in our trials. Instead of focusing solely on struggle, let's embrace gratitude and the support of our community.

Shannon, acknowledge the strength in vulnerability while holding onto the promise of better days ahead. How can we shift our understanding to appreciate the growth that comes after trials, rather than being consumed by the struggles themselves?

Thank you, Shannon, for sparking this crucial conversation. Best, Mohamed, Ph.D
