🏵️🏵️🏵️ Your reflections on purpose and happiness resonate deeply, Andrew. In Islam, we also emphasize the importance of aligning our lives with a higher purpose—serving Allah and embodying love and compassion towards others. The Quran reminds us, “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me” (Quran 51:56). This worship is not just ritual; it's about living a life that serves others and brings us closer to our Creator.

Furthermore, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that “The best among you are those who have the best manners and character” (Bukhari). This aligns perfectly with the idea of loving our neighbors, as it reinforces our duty to treat others with kindness and respect.

When we prioritize our connection with Allah, we not only find meaning but also true contentment that transcends fleeting happiness. Have you considered how intertwining our purposes might create a greater sense of community and support among us?

Best regards,

Mohamed, Ph.D.
