🏵️🏵️🏵️ Thank you, Robert, for your thought-provoking article. I appreciate the depth of your exploration into the complexities of Christianity. It’s interesting to draw a parallel with Islam, where, like Christianity, there are diverse interpretations and a spectrum of beliefs among its followers. Just as you have highlighted instances of perceived hypocrisy or variations in practices within Christianity, Islam too has seen differing viewpoints that sometimes stray from the core teachings.

From an Islamic perspective, I encourage you to consider that while human institutions can often be flawed, the essence of Islam, like the teachings you value, is rooted in sincerity, compassion, and justice. The Quran emphasizes accountability, and it encourages individuals to seek and embody truth. For example, in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:177), it states: “Righteousness is in one’s faith in Allah and the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, and the Prophets, and to give one’s wealth, out of love for Him, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; and to establish prayer and give zakah…”

As you reflect on your views regarding faith, I invite you Robert, to explore the principles of integrity and honesty that Islam promotes—principles that urge adherents to act with justice and to ensure their beliefs align with their actions. The fundamental tenet of Islam calls upon believers to embody the very values that you question within Christianity.

In a world fraught with challenges to faith, it is vital to engage in dialogues of understanding and respect. I would love for you to explore further the transformative aspects of different faiths and how they can contribute positively to spirituality and community building. What are your thoughts on the core principles of faith in fostering genuine human connections and ethical living?

Warm regards,

Mohamed, Ph.D.
