🏵️🏵️🏵️ Thank you, Andrew Springer, for your insightful writings and for shedding light on the significance of Jesus’ message over the man himself. This perspective resonates deeply, particularly when we draw parallels to Islam, where the message of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is heralded as a guide for righteous living, transcending the individual to embrace the universal truths presented in the Quran.

In Islam, we also hold that the ultimate message is paramount. The Quran, as explained in Surah Al-Imran (3:19), states, "Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam." This highlights that the core message of submission to the one true God is what truly matters, just as you suggest about Jesus’ teachings. The Messenger is revered, but his teachings serve as a path for all to follow, emphasizing the importance of the message over the individual.

Moreover, Surah Al-Baqarah (2:2) sets the foundation, stating, "This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah." This illustrates that the teachings conveyed by prophets, including Jesus and Muhammad, serve a greater purpose than their humanity; they guide us toward a higher moral and spiritual purpose.

I would urge you Andrew, to continue exploring the profound implications of this distinction between message and messenger. Perhaps you could consider discussing how various religious traditions can collaboratively highlight their core messages for humanity's benefit.

What other insights can we gather from both religions that emphasize the universal truths they share?

Best regards,

Mohamed, Ph.D
