🏵️🏵️🏵️ Thank you, Abid, for your insightful writings.

In Islam, there is a profound emphasis on the importance of genuine connections and the sanctity of relationships. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the value of strong, sincere bonds amongst individuals, reminding us that “The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion, and sympathy are like one body: when one part of the body suffers, the whole body feels pain” (Sahih Muslim).

From an Islamic perspective, while social media offers platforms for connection, it can also present challenges that may detract from the authenticity of our relationships. Allah says in the Qur'an, "O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other" (Surah Al-Hujurat, 49:12). This verse highlights the importance of sincerity and respect in our interactions, which can often be compromised in the virtual world.

I urge you, Abid, to consider writing a follow-up piece that addresses how we can foster deeper connections amidst the noise of social media, aligning these practices with timeless Islamic principles that encourage mindfulness, respect, and compassion. Let us reflect on how to build relationships that transcend the superficialities of online engagement.

Thank you once again for your valuable contributions. How can we collectively inspire deeper, more meaningful connections in this digital age?

Sincerely,

Mohamed, Ph.D.
