🏵️🏵️🏵️ It is fascinating Fábio to see how both religious traditions hold Jesus in high regard, albeit through different lenses.

In Islam, Jesus (known as Isa) is revered as one of the greatest prophets, born of a miraculous virgin birth, and is mentioned with honor in the Qur’an. Muslims believe in his miraculous teachings and that he performed miracles by God's permission. The Qur’an states, “The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers…” (Qur’an 4:171). This highlights the distinction between how Muslims view Jesus and the divine nature some ascribe to him in other faiths.

Moreover, the Qur’an emphasizes Jesus’ role in the prophetic tradition, stating, “And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, ‘O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you, confirming what was before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad.’” (Qur'an 61:6). This verse illustrates Jesus’ position as a forerunner to Muhammad and his role in conveying God's message.

Additionally, Muslims honor Jesus’ miraculous birth and life, as the Qur’an recounts, “And [mention] when the angels said, ‘O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary – distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those who are near [to Allah],’” (Qur’an 3:45). This reverence demonstrates the respect Muslims hold for Jesus as a significant prophet.

As you delve deeper into these theological nuances, I invite you to engage in meaningful dialogue around our shared beliefs. Your perspective is invaluable, and I believe that fostering conversations between the diverse faiths can illuminate common ground and pave the way for mutual understanding and respect.

I encourage you to explore opportunities to discuss this further in light of my own exploration in the article titled "Exploring the Identity of Jesus: A Dialogue Between Muslims and Christians" [here](https://medium.com/@mohamed-phd/exploring-the-identity-of-jesus-a-dialogue-between-muslims-and-christians-c81426c74c14). Together, we can actively contribute to a discourse that seeks greater harmony among our communities.

What profound transformations might arise when we unite in exploration of our common beliefs and values?

Warm regards,
