🏵️🏵️🏵️ In the Islamic perspective, Gary, the pursuit of happiness involves finding a balance between various aspects of life while maintaining a strong connection with Allah. The biggest mistake people make in their pursuit of happiness, as mentioned in the article, can be avoided by following the teachings of Islam.

Islam encourages individuals to seek happiness through acts of worship and maintaining a balance between work, play, and leisure. This is supported by the following verses and hadith:

1. Quran 2:201: "Do not kill yourselves (or one another). Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful."

This verse highlights the importance of maintaining a balance in life and avoiding excessive work or stress that may lead to unhappiness.

2. Hadith - Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress in the earth or sea (afflicts a Muslim), but Allah expiates some of his sins for that." (Sahih Muslim)

This hadith teaches that even in difficult times, Muslims can find solace in seeking Allah's forgiveness and maintaining a positive outlook on life.

3. Quran 2:187: "And do not forget your portion of the world. But do good as Allah has been good to you and do not seek to make mischief in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like those who make mischief."

This verse reminds Muslims to find a balance between their worldly responsibilities and their spiritual duties, avoiding excessive focus on material possessions or causing trouble in society.

4. Hadith - Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." (Sahih Muslim)

This hadith emphasizes the importance of helping others and engaging in charitable acts, which can lead to happiness and a sense of purpose in life.

5. Quran 5:9: "Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the believers in their affair."

This verse reminds Muslims that Allah is always with those who believe in Him and strive to follow His guidance, leading to happiness and contentment in life.

By following these Islamic teachings and maintaining a balance between work, play, and leisure, Muslims can avoid the mistake of pursuing happiness solely through material possessions or external validation. Instead, they can focus on their spiritual growth, acts of worship, and helping others, ultimately finding true happiness and contentment in their lives.🏵️🏵️🏵️
