In Islam, Jonathan, Prophet Jesus (Isa) holds a special status as a prominent figure among the prophets. The Quran mentions Jesus in several verses, highlighting his miraculous birth to the Virgin Mary (Maryam), his ability to perform miracles such as healing the sick and raising the dead, and his role as a messenger sent to preach the message of monotheism to the Children of Israel.

One of the notable verses about Jesus is found in Surah Al-Imran (3:45-47), where the angel Gabriel informs Maryam of the birth of a son who will be named Isa (Jesus). This event is considered a sign of God's power and mercy.

In Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:110), Jesus is reported to have spoken as an infant, declaring his prophethood and emphasizing the importance of worshiping only one God. This miraculous event showcases Jesus' special status as a prophet in Islam.

Furthermore, the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), known as hadith, also provide insights into the life and teachings of Jesus. The Prophet Muhammad mentioned Jesus in various hadith, affirming his prophethood and emphasizing the respect that Muslims should hold for Jesus and all other prophets.

Therefore, while the discovery of new biblical texts such as the Dialogue of Jason and Papiscus may be of interest to scholars and historians, it does not have a direct impact on Islamic beliefs as Muslims primarily rely on the Quran and authentic hadith for guidance and understanding of the prophets and their teachings.
