🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear TheDailyChristian,

Thank you for your honesty and your pure heart. You are a very genuine person, and that's evident from your words and actions.

As an Islamic perspective, I would like to offer some insights that may help alleviate this fear. Your sincerity and openness to learn about Islam are truly admirable, and I appreciate your willingness to share your thoughts and beliefs.

🏵️Regarding the topic of apostasy, I understand your concerns and the concept of the death penalty in some Islamic countries. However, it's essential to understand the context and the circumstances surrounding this issue.

The Quran states, "There is no compulsion in religion" (2:256). This verse emphasizes the importance of freedom of choice and the prohibition of forced conversion. As the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever changes his religion, kill him" (Sahih Muslim). However, this hadith is often misunderstood and taken out of context. In reality, it refers to those who commit treason or rebel against the Islamic state,

🏵️🏵️ not those who simply leave Islam.

The Quran also states, "Whoever kills a person who has a covenant with the contract of Allah, except by mistake, that person shall be recompensed with hell-fire" (4:93). This verse highlights the sanctity of human life and the gravity of taking a life without just cause.

Regarding the apostles, it's true that they were preaching about Jesus Christ as the son of God. However, their message was distorted and corrupted over time, leading to the development of Christian theology.

🏵️ The Quran corrects this narrative by emphasizing that Jesus was a prophet sent by God, not the son of God (4:171).

You mentioned Joshua's statement about choosing who you will serve. Indeed, we are free to choose our beliefs, but we must also be mindful of our moral accountability before God. As Allah says, "And verily We have honored the children of Adam" (17:70). We are accountable for our actions, and our choices will have consequences.

I understand your perspective on Islam and its teachings. However, I believe that Islam provides a more comprehensive understanding of God's guidance and our relationship with Him. Our scripture is not just a book written by humans but is a revelation from Allah Himself.

As Allah says in the Quran, "This is a Book which We have revealed unto thee (Muhammad), full of blessings: therefore purify thy heart" (16:78-79). And as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Knowledge is blessed with wisdom." (Sunan Abu Dawud)

I would like to recommend a video that may help you better understand Islam and its teachings:

May Allah guide us all towards the truth and guide you on your spiritual journey. May He bless you with wisdom, understanding, and peace.

May Allah bless you my brother, for your sincerity and openness to learn about Islam. May He guide you towards the straight path and grant you paradise in the Hereafter.
