🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear Priyanshu, I would like to express my gratitude for your thought-provoking article "Why Empathy Matters More Than Ever in a Divisive World". Your words have resonated deeply with me, and I appreciate the effort you've put into highlighting the significance of empathy in today's society.

In Islam, we are taught to empathize with others through the concept of "Rahma" (compassion) and "Mawaddah" (love and affection).

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." (Bukhari) This Hadith emphasizes the importance of understanding and relating to others' feelings and needs.

I completely agree with your assertion that empathy is essential in breaking down barriers and fostering a sense of community. In fact, the Quran emphasizes the importance of treating others with kindness and compassion, as it says, "O mankind, We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you." (Quran 49:13)

From an Islamic perspective, I would like to take it a step further by emphasizing the need for active listening and understanding. As Muslims, we are encouraged to engage in dialogue with others, even if we disagree with their opinions or beliefs. The Quran says, "And discuss not with the people of the Book (Jews and Christians) except in a way that is better than that." (Quran 29:46) This verse highlights the importance of respectful communication and constructive dialogue.

I urge you, Priyanshu, to continue spreading the message of empathy and compassion. Let us strive to create a world where we can understand and relate to each other's struggles and triumphs. As you said, empathy is the key to breaking down barriers and building bridges between communities.

Let us work together to create a more compassionate world.
