🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear Olive, I would like to express my gratitude for your thought-provoking article on the question of God's existence. Your writing is a testament to the human quest for meaning and connection, and I appreciate your candid exploration of the complexities surrounding this topic.

In Islam, we believe that God's existence is not a topic of debate, but rather a fundamental aspect of our faith. The Quranic verse "There is no god but Allah, the One and Only" (Quran 112:1) affirms our conviction in the One True God. Similarly, the concept of Tawhid, or the oneness of God, emphasizes that God is the only deity worthy of worship.

However, I would like to respectfully disagree with your suggestion that faith is a choice that allows us to move forward despite uncertainty or doubt. In Islam, faith is not simply a choice, but rather a consequence of genuine knowledge and understanding. As the Quran says, "And We have certainly honored the children of Adam" (Quran 17:70), emphasizing our unique position as vicegerents of God on earth.

I would like to call upon you to reconsider your perspective on faith and its role in our lives. Rather than seeing faith as a choice, perhaps it is more accurate to view it as a response to our inherent knowledge of God's existence. As the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Faith is that which is in the hearts of the believers." This statement highlights the importance of spiritual certainty and conviction in our lives.

I hope that this response has been helpful in shedding light on the Islamic perspective on God's existence. I would like to encourage you to continue exploring the mysteries of faith and its role in our lives.

Sincerely,

Mohamed, Ph.D 🏵️🏵️🏵️
