🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear Nabiha,

I would like to start by expressing my appreciation for your thought-provoking article, on "Opinion Which Truly Matters." Your willingness to explore the complexities of human nature and the importance of self-reflection is truly commendable. May Allah bless you for your openness to different perspectives.

As an Islamic perspective, I would like to offer some insights that may help alleviate this fear. The Quran says, "And whoever turns away from the remembrance of the Most Merciful (Allah), We appoint for him a devil as a Qarin ( companion) who will be his constant companion." (Quran 43:36) This verse highlights the importance of staying focused on the right path and not letting distractions divert us from our ultimate goal.

Furthermore, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The believer's tongue is like a lock and his heart is like a key. If the tongue is locked and the heart is not, then the heart will be locked." (Hadith Qudsi) This hadith emphasizes the importance of controlling our tongue and thoughts, and ensuring that our heart remains pure and focused on Allah.

In Islamic philosophy, the concept of fitrah (nature) is central to understanding human nature. According to this concept, humans are naturally inclined towards goodness and righteousness, but our environment and circumstances can influence us to deviate from this natural inclination. Therefore, it is essential to recognize our fitrah and strive to return to it.

In Islamic sociology, the concept of ummah (community) plays a significant role in shaping our beliefs and actions. As Muslims, we are part of a global community that has been guided by the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Our individual opinions and perspectives are shaped by this collective understanding and guidance.

In Islamic psychology, self-reflection is a crucial aspect of spiritual growth. The Quran encourages us to reflect on our actions and intentions, saying, "O children of Adam! Do not let Satan deceive you as he got your parents Adam and Eve out of the Garden [of Paradise], stripping them of their garments, causing them to feel shame over their bodies." (Quran 20:120-122)

I understand your perspective on the importance of self-reflection and personal growth. I believe that Islam provides a more comprehensive understanding of human nature and spirituality. It offers a clear guide for living a virtuous life, free from distractions and focused on our ultimate goal: seeking the pleasure of Allah.

As you explore your thoughts and feelings, I invite you to read an online copy of the Quran

to gain a deeper understanding of God's nature, purpose of life, and different perspectives than what we are raised upon. Who knows? You may find yourself drawn to embracing Islam as the final message from God to humanity.

May Allah guide you on your journey towards self-discovery and spiritual growth.

May Allah bless you for your openness to explore different perspectives!
