🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear Maria,

As an Islamic perspective, I would like to offer some insights that may help alleviate this fear. I understand that embracing being average can be liberating, and it's a valid approach to life. However, from an Islamic perspective, we believe that every individual has a unique role to play in this world, and being average might not necessarily lead to the fulfillment of one's potential.

According to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), "No soul knows what good deeds it has sent ahead for itself, and (what evil he has mete out) shall not come forth" (Al-Quran 9:111). This hadith highlights the importance of striving for excellence and making the most of our time on earth.

In Islam, we believe that every individual has a responsibility to work on their own spiritual growth and development. The Quran emphasizes the importance of striving for self-improvement, saying "O you who have believed, fear Allah as much as you are able and [know that] Allah has sent down [this reminder] to you" (Al-Quran 49:13). This means that we should strive to improve ourselves and our circumstances as much as possible, rather than settling for mediocrity.

Furthermore, Islam teaches us that true success lies not in being average or exceptional, but in following the guidance of Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The first of you will be judged by Allah on the Day of Resurrection is your deeds" (Sahih Muslim). This hadith emphasizes the importance of focusing on our deeds and actions, rather than our perceived worth or status.

Maria, I understand your perspective on embracing being average, but I believe that Islam provides a more comprehensive understanding of our purpose and potential. By striving for excellence and seeking to please Allah, we can find true fulfillment and contentment.

I believe that Islam offers a more holistic approach to life, one that balances individual effort with divine guidance. May we all strive to make the most of our time on earth and seek the pleasure of Allah.
