🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear Jeremy, I appreciate your thoughtful reflections on the concept of Jesus' death in the New Testament. While I respect the diversity of interpretations within Christianity, I must respectfully disagree with the idea that Jesus' death can be seen as a ransom paid to Satan or the devil.

In Islam, we believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) was a messenger of God, and his death was a martyrdom that demonstrated his devotion to God's will. The Quran states, "And We said: 'O Jesus, you shall die and We shall raise you to life again unto Ourselves'" (Quran 4:157). His death was not a sacrifice to atone for humanity's sins, but rather a demonstration of his commitment to God's message.

Furthermore, the concept of justice is indeed present in the Quran, but it is not limited to the idea of punishment or retribution. Rather, it is a comprehensive concept that encompasses the idea of balance and harmony in the universe. The Quran states, "We have created all things with a Qadr (measure or purpose). And We have fixed it (the measure) as seven heavens and seven earths" (Quran 15:8).

I encourage you to consider the Islamic perspective on Jesus' death and its significance in relation to God's justice and mercy. I invite you to explore the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to gain a deeper understanding of these concepts.
