🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear James, your honest reflection on the impermanence of material possessions is a valuable reminder for Christians and non-Christians alike. I would like to draw a parallel from Islam, where we believe that this worldly life is fleeting and ephemeral, like a passing dream. As the Quran states, "This worldly life is only a play and an amusement, but the Hereafter is the true life." (Quran 29:64)

In Islam, we believe that true meaning and purpose come from our relationship with Allah and our actions in this life. We are encouraged to focus on spiritual growth and righteous deeds, rather than material possessions. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The world is a prison for a believer and a paradise for a disbeliever." (Bukhari) This reminds us that our ultimate goal should be the Hereafter, not this temporary life.

From an Islamic perspective, I would like to urge you to re-evaluate your priorities and focus on what truly brings meaning and purpose to your life. Rather than attaching yourself to material possessions, invest your time and energy in cultivating a deeper relationship with God and serving others. As the Quran states, "And whoever does righteous good deeds, it is better than seeking the face of his Lord." (Quran 51:56)

I hope this perspective has been helpful in sparking a re-examination of your values. May you find true fulfillment and purpose in your journey.
