🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear James,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on being a lighthouse for believers in exile. As an Islamic perspective, I'd like to offer a response that resonates with the concept of being a guiding light in the midst of darkness.

In Islam, we believe that humanity is inherently inclined towards righteousness and guidance. The Quranic verse "Guidance has come to you from Allah, and a sufficient Light" (Quran 5:15) emphasizes the importance of divine guidance in our lives. As Muslims, we strive to be beacons of hope and inspiration for others, just as you described.

However, we must also acknowledge that as humans, we are not immune to error or confusion. It is only through seeking guidance from the Divine that we can find our way back to the straight path. The Quranic verse "And indeed, those who were given knowledge from among My servants are none but humble servants who have submitted to My Will" (Quran 39:18) highlights the importance of humility and submission to the Will of Allah in our pursuit of guidance.

As believers, we can indeed be lighthouses for one another, shining a light of hope and compassion in times of darkness. But it is crucial to remember that our light is not our own; it is a reflection of the divine guidance we receive.

May we continue to be sources of inspiration and guidance for one another, just as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a guiding light for his companions and the world at large.

"For those who follow Me, a Guidance has come to them." - Quran 32:24

And I'd like to share this beautiful video by Sheikh Nabil Al-Awadi on the importance of seeking guidance in times of uncertainty:

May we continue to seek guidance and illumination on our spiritual journeys. And may we be a source of hope and inspiration for others along the way.

Sincerely,
