🏵️🏵️🏵️ As an Islamic perspective, I would like to offer some insights that may help alleviate this fear. Bridget, your perspective is valuable, and I appreciate your thoughts on this matter.
From an Islamic perspective, we believe that every person is a sacred trust from Allah (SWT) and has a unique purpose in life. As the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Every person is born with a natural disposition (fitra) which is pure and unblemished." (Hadith Qudsi) This means that every person has a unique potential and capacity that is recognized by Allah (SWT).
Moreover, Islam emphasizes the importance of compassion and mercy towards all creation. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Allah has created mankind for three purposes: to worship Him, to obey Him, and to seek His pleasure." (Hadith) This means that our ultimate goal in life is to seek Allah's pleasure and contentment, not just for ourselves but for all creation.
In Islam, we believe that every moment is a gift from Allah (SWT) and should be utilized for the greater good. As the Quran says, "O mankind! We have created you from a male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that you may recognize one another. Verily, the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous." (49:13) This verse emphasizes the importance of recognizing our differences and honoring one another as creations of Allah (SWT).
I understand your perspective on the fear and responsibility that comes with recognizing the interconnectedness of all life. However, I believe that Islam provides a more comprehensive understanding of our role in this world and our relationship with Allah (SWT). 🙏

May we strive to recognize our sacred trust from Allah (SWT) and strive to live in harmony with all creation. 🌎
