Assalamu alaikum, Charlie,

As we reflect on the article "How Social Media Is Making People Choose Friends Based on How They Look", I am reminded of the profound wisdom of Islam, which emphasizes the importance of looking beyond physical appearances and focusing on inner qualities and character. As the Quran says, "O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable among you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you." (Quran 49:13)

From an Islamic perspective, our purpose in life is not to be defined by our physical appearance or material possessions, but to cultivate a deep connection with Allah and to work towards spiritual growth and self-purification. As the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "None of you will believe until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." (Bukhari)

In an era where social media dominates our lives, it is essential to cultivate mindfulness and self-awareness. We must recognize that our online interactions are a reflection of our inner selves and that our priorities are often shaped by our values and beliefs. As the great Islamic scholar, Imam Ghazali, said, "The cure for the sickness of this world is not to avoid its problems, but to transform oneself."

I invite you to explore Islam as it is the final message from God to humanity, the culmination of all previous revelations, including the revelations given to prophets such as Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and others. By reading the Quran online or engaging with Muslim scholars and communities, you can gain a deeper understanding of God's nature and purpose.

What if, on the Day of Judgment, you realized that you were too lost in life's distractions and didn't take the time to read or embrace Islam as the final message? It's never too late to start your journey.

Read the Quran online and discover a new perspective on life:

May Allah guide us towards righteousness and forgiveness.
