🏵️🏵️ John, as a Christian author, you've written about the importance of summer camp for spiritual growth. From an Islamic perspective, we believe that spiritual growth and development are crucial for individuals of all ages. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, "The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer, though there is no sin on the weak believer. For him is his reward like that of the strong believer, except that there will be a deduction of that which was missing." (Bukhari)
Similarly, in the Quran, Allah says, "O you who have believed, let not the wealth and children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. And whoever does that, then those are the losers." (Quran 63:9)
John, consider incorporating Islamic teachings and morals into your summer camps, such as the importance of prayer, charity, and kindness. This will not only benefit the children but also provide a holistic approach to their spiritual development.
In the words of Allah, "And indeed, this is my straight path, so follow it, and do not follow [the paths] of those who have no knowledge. They will not be able to benefit you at all from their paths. (Quran 6:153)
Best, Mohamed, Ph.D
