🏵️🏵️ I'm glad, Jeff, to see you and I share a common goal of making a positive impact in the world. As a Muslim, I would like to respectfully point out that the concept of "making a positive difference" and "lasting legacy" is not unique to Christianity. In fact, Islam also emphasizes the importance of righteous deeds and leaving a positive impact on society.
As Muslims, we believe that our actions in this life have consequences in the next. We are taught to be kind, compassionate, and just towards all people, regardless of their faith or background. The Quran says:
"Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to enjoy a good life and We will surely give them their reward (in the Hereafter) for the best of what they used to do." (Quran 16:97)
However, I would like to respectfully disagree with the interpretation of Romans 10:9. As a Muslim, I believe that salvation is not solely dependent on confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in his resurrection. In fact, Islam teaches that salvation comes through submitting to the one true God, Allah, and following His guidance as revealed in the Quran.
The Quran says:
"And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers." (Quran 3:85)
This verse emphasizes the importance of submitting to the one true God and following His guidance. It is not limited to confession or belief in a specific individual or event.
In the end, while I appreciate your enthusiasm for making a positive difference in the world, I believe that Islam offers a more comprehensive and nuanced approach to achieving this goal. By following the guidance of Allah and living according to His teachings, we can truly make a lasting impact on society and achieve our ultimate goal of entering Paradise.
I look forward to continuing this dialogue with you Jeff, and exploring the similarities and differences between our faiths. 🏵️🏵️
