The Organizing Thread In The Book Of God — Part 4

Indeed, even when God mentioned the trained hunting animals (to catch) prey, He did not say teaching them without connecting the teaching to the doctrinal truth of faith so that the heart will continue to be connected to the greatness of God.

What you have trained of hunting animals which you train as Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allah upon it, and fear Allah.” Indeed, Allah is swift in account. [Table, 4]

Even teaching hunting dogs, the believer must remember that it is a teaching from what God has taught... How intense is the presence of the relationship with God in the Qur’an

The Qur’an once evokes memories of the Companions in which the infidels were almost killed them, so the Qur’an exhumes these historical facts to raise hearts to God who saved them, the Almighty says

O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when a people determined to extend their hands [in aggression] against you, but He withheld their hands from you; and fear Allah. And upon Allah let the believers rely. [The Table, 11]

The scholars of tafsir -Quran interpretation- mentioned several incidents that fall into this, such as the attempt of the Bedouin Ghurth bin Al-Harith to kill the Messenger of God, as in Al-Bukhari...

And the example of the Jews’ conspiracy to kill Muhammed the Messenger of God — may God’s prayers and peace be upon him — and his companions, so God revealed to him, and the plot was revealed, besides other events.

It is not essential to specify these events in which the plots of the infidels against the Messenger and the Companions failed... Most importantly for the contemplator of the Qur’an is to see how the Qur’an surprises the Companions by mentioning these stories to revive the heart’s relationship with God... He warns them that it is God Almighty who has kept the hands of the infidels away from them and that hearts must trust in Him. Glory be to Him.

Verses that etch in the minds of the Companions memories of events and speeches in which they were peaceful. These verses do not mention them except to ascend the hearts to the gracious Creator, Glory be to Him... It was as if these verses were saying: Beware that your safety in these events is not a passing matter, instead, it is a grace and mercy from God, so remember this and do not forget it. And let it be mindful of you, and let the hearts live to it, and the tongues and limbs meditate in thanks to God. Now, compare it to the typical way we deal with it.

And the Qur’an reminds the Companions of their fighting in Surat Al-Anfal in a similar way to what God said in Surat Ibrahim on the authority of Moses.

And We certainly sent Moses with Our signs, [saying], “Bring out your people from darknesses into the light and remind them of the days of Allah.” Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.
[Ibrahim, 5]

In response to the next verse, Moses said:

And [recall, O Children of Israel], when Moses said to His people, “Remember the favor of Allah upon you when He saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who were afflicting you with the worst torment and were slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord. [Ibrahim, 6]

And when God Almighty mentioned the story of Moses — may God’s prayers and peace be upon him — when he commanded his people to enter the (Holy Land), which some scholars of Quran interpretation mentioned that it is al-Tur and its surroundings, so the people of Moses failed and apologized that in it there was a mighty people who had capabilities that we could not resist. At this moment, two men stood up from the people of Moses with a brave attitude, responding to the command of Moses, and they warned their people that as soon as they enter upon the tyrants, the tyrants will be defeated. God willing...

God did not mention these two heroic men in his book, and credit is attributed to them. Instead, the Almighty warned that their brave stance has other backgrounds. By God, you have to follow the pattern of the Qur’an in presenting this. God says, illustrating the speech of Moses:

( 20 ) And [mention, O Muhammad], when Moses said to his people, “O my people, remember the favor of Allah upon you when He appointed among you prophets and made you possessors and gave you that which He had not given anyone among the worlds. ( 21 ) O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back [from fighting in Allah ‘s cause] and [thus] become losers.” ( 22 ) They said, “O Moses, indeed within it is a people of tyrannical strength, and indeed, we will never enter it until they leave it; but if they leave it, then we will enter.” ( 23 ) Said two men from those who feared [to disobey] upon whom Allah had bestowed favor, “Enter upon them through the gate, for when you have entered it, you will be predominant. And upon Allah rely, if you should be believers.” [Table, 20–23]

Perhaps you have noticed the matter and how the Qur’an insists on highlighting the background of the relationship with God, for these two men did not take this correct position except because they fear God, and God has blessed them with faith...

And even their commandment to their people was (and in God so put your trust), and belief is one of the most accurate places of attachment of the heart to God.

These facts and dialogues between Moses and his people are extracted with a fundamental principle; the centrality of attachment to God...

Moses reminds them of God to enter the Holy Land.

and their final advice is (rely on God)

The whole story deals with faith…

I’m inviting you to listen to the below part of the Holy Quran, and then you judge by yourself:
