The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a long-standing struggle for justice and equal rights. 🏵️🏵️
In 1947, the United Nations voted to partition Palestine into two states, one Jewish and the other Arab.
However, this decision ignored the fact that Jews only made up one-third of the population and owned only seven percent of the land.

In 1948, Israel declared its independence, starting a war with neighboring Arab countries.
During this war, approximately 750,000 Palestinians were expelled or forced to flee their homes.
This event is known as the Nakba or catastrophe among Palestinians. Today, over five million Palestinian refugees are registered with the United Nations and denied their right to return to their ancestral lands.

Since the 1967 war, Israel has occupied Palestinian territories, including the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza Strip. Israel's occupation has involved the construction of settlements, which are illegal under international law, and the building of a separation wall in the West Bank.
Palestinians living under occupation face daily human rights violations, such as home demolitions, forced displacement, and restrictions on movement.

The violence in May 2021, which started with the planned eviction of Palestinians from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in East Jerusalem, escalated when Israeli forces attacked worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
This violence led to the launching of rockets from Gaza by Hamas and Israeli airstrikes, with over 250 Palestinians being killed, including 66 children.

The recent protests outside the White House were a call for the United States to stop supporting Israel's military actions and to pressure Israel to respect human rights. These protests were peaceful and were organized by Palestinian and Muslim-American organizations and members of Congress.

Currently, Israel's military actions are causing immense harm and suffering to the Palestinians; these actions are war crimes and genocide. 🛑🛑

It is crucial to take urgent action to stop this violence and hold Israel accountable for its actions against humanity.
Thus, there is a growing call for the international community to act in solidarity with the Palestinian people and hold Israel accountable for its violations of international law and human rights.
