The centrality of faith in God cannot be overstated, as Muslims draw strength and support from their relationship with God (Allah) during difficult times.

Islam emphasizes the importance of faith in Allah as the singular and only God. Muslims are encouraged to find solace and healing in turning towards Allah during difficult times, as His presence provides a sense of peace and comfort.

Islam recognises that all messengers, including Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, were called to worship and convey the message of Allah. The Quran guides: "Say, "We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him." (Quran 2:136)

In a Hadith recorded by Abu Huraira, the Prophet (PBUH) said, "The first thing created by Allah was the pen. He said to it, 'Write!' It said, 'O Lord! What should I write?' He said, 'Write down the Qadar (Decree), the total lifespan, the actions of the person, and whether he will be happy or unhappy.' It is a fact that one who does not use his discretion in matters, will most certainly be unhappy." (Sahih Bukhari, Book 3, Hadith 490)

As Muslims, it is essential to prioritise faith and spirituality in our lives, recognising Allah as the one and only God and submitting to His will. We should strive to draw closer to Allah by following the examples of the messengers He sent, including Prophet Muhammad, and seeking His guidance through prayer, contemplation, and reflection.
