Under the Barack Obama administration, the United States reportedly provided Israel with over $38 billion in military aid between 2019 and 2028, which has been used to support Israeli military operations and colonization against Palestinians.
Total support from the United States alone to Isreal during its history is ($260 billion).

The current crisis is not an isolated incident but rather a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation, settlement expansion, and blockade of Gaza that have been perpetuated for decades.

The situation in Gaza, in particular, has led to significant casualties and destruction of infrastructure. 👇
Nearly 6,000 Palestinians, including over 1,500 children and babies, have been killed, and over 14,000 others have been injured in the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza.
Buildings, including residential towers, hospitals, and schools, have been destroyed and damaged, exacerbating the already dire living conditions of Gaza's two million inhabitants.

Meanwhile, grassroots movements like the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaign aim to hold Israel accountable for its human rights violations, atrocities, and war crimes while promoting Palestinian independence and autonomy.

Since 1948, more than 700,000 Palestinians have been displaced from their homes due to Israeli policies of forced displacement and colonization, according to the United Nations.
The Israeli government has also built over 130 settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, which are illegal under international law.
