Looking at the end of the free internet era, we can see that businesses are going to face some big challenges. 🏵️🏵️
One of the primary concerns here is that power is becoming more concentrated among a few big tech giants.
That's not great news for smaller businesses, who are going to struggle to break into the market and find their place online.
Think about Facebook, Amazon, Google, or Apple - they hold a lot of market share and they dominate spaces like social media, search, and e-commerce.

Another big challenge we're going to see is the increasing cost of online advertising. As the big tech giants charge more and more for ads on their platforms, smaller businesses might find it harder and harder to get visibility online.
This is where businesses will need to get creative to find new ways to connect with customers and deliver value.
Of course, businesses will also need to be mindful of customers' concerns about privacy.
As data mining and advertising become more prevalent, people will be understandably cautious about what they share online. With that in mind, businesses will need to come up with unique ways to protect customers' information while still providing innovative and valuable services.

Ultimately, businesses will need to be nimble and adaptable, adjusting quickly to new policies and changing customer preferences.
One great strategy here might be to start offering new services that complement existing offerings, or finding ways to collaborate with other businesses.
When we look at a company like Netflix, we can see what a successful strategy looks like.
They recognized the shift towards paid internet services early on and made their unique, personalized content their selling point.
As a result, they were able to grow rapidly and really shake up the broadcast TV market.

Overall, businesses need to take the end of the free internet era seriously and focus on delivering value, meeting customer needs, and staying innovative and agile.
By doing that, they can position themselves for success in a constantly evolving online landscape.
