Islamic teachings promote sexual relations only within the bounds of marriage between man and woman. 🏵️🏵️
The Quran states, "And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought" (Quran 30:21) which refers to the creation of a complementary relationship between men and women, alluding to the fact that a heterosexual union is the only permissible sexual relationship.
Moreover, the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) states, "Allah curses the one who does the actions (homosexual activity) of the people of Lot," (Sunan Abi Dawud 4462) which reinforces that homosexual acts are considered sinful and forbidden in Islam.
However, while Islam holds a strict definition of permissible sexual behavior, it also promotes respect and acceptance for all of humanity. The Quran states, "O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted" (Quran 49:13)
