In Islam, Jesus (peace be upon him) is highly respected and revered as one of the most beloved prophets of God. 🏵️🏵️

The Quran attests to Jesus' prophethood and his miraculous birth, stating: " [And mention] when the angels said, 'O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ].'" (3:45).

Islam teaches that Jesus was sent as a prophet to guide people towards God and to spread the message of monotheism.
The Quran affirms: "And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous." (5:46).

However, Muslims do not consider him the son of God or a divine figure, but rather as a human being who was granted the ability to perform miracles by the grace of God.
The Quran affirms: "It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is." (19:35).

In terms of the concept of being Christ-centered, Islam emphasizes the concept of Tawhid, which means the oneness of God, and stresses that God should be at the center of everything a Muslim does.
The Quran states: "Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent." (112:1-4).

Following the example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the teachings of the Quran, Muslims strive to live a life that is pleasing to God, and that involves following His commands and living a morally upright life.
The prophet Muhammad said, “Allah the Almighty said, ‘I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.’” (Sahih Bukhari, Book 81, Hadith 11)

In the end, while it is important to honor and respect Jesus as a prophet, being Muslim means that one's focus should be on following the teachings of Islam and living a life that is centered around God.
Muslims are encouraged to study and learn about the life and teachings of Jesus, but ultimately, their allegiance and obedience should be to God alone.
