In Islam, death is considered a natural part of life and a transition from this world to the hereafter. Muslims believe that death is the gateway to eternal life, and a person's actions in this life determine their fate in the afterlife. 🏵️🏵️
This belief is established in a Hadith narrated by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), "Remember often the destroyer of pleasures - death, for no one who remembers it will ever become attached to the worldly life" [Tirmidhi].

The death of a loved one is a significant event that can trigger a range of emotions, including sadness, grief, and fear. This is emphasized by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in his saying, "Cry for your dead, and shed tears for them openly or secretly. But do not give up hope of Allah's mercy and do not overdo mourning..." [Muslim]. In Islam, it is essential to support and comfort the bereaved in times of grief. The Prophet (peace be upon him) encourages Muslims to console the bereaved by visiting them and sending them condolence messages. He said, "The one who consoles someone who has lost a dear one gets the same reward as him" [Tirmidhi].

In Islam, helping the bereaved is an act of charity that earns reward for both the helper and the bereaved. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "He who helps the bereaved and the debtor is like one who worships in the cause of Allah" [Abu Dawud]. Muslims are also encouraged to make dua for the deceased and their loved ones. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The deceased is tormented until you make dua for him" [Tirmidhi].

Moreover, Islam emphasizes the importance of preparing for death by engaging in good deeds such as performing acts of charity and gaining knowledge. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three things: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who supplicates for him" [Muslim]. Therefore, Muslims should focus on doing good deeds during their lifetime to prepare for the afterlife.
