While there is no surefire way to avoid harm, there are some Islamic teachings that can help us to prepare for and respond to these situations in a way that is both safe and in accordance with our faith.
Stay calm and think clearly. The Quran teaches us that "the cool-headed will be given their reward without reckoning" (39:24). This means that it is important to stay calm and think clearly in difficult situations, even when it is tempting to panic. Panicking can lead to poor decision-making and make it more difficult to escape harm.
Help others. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The one who helps a person in difficulty is like one who has freed a slave." (Bukhari) This hadith teaches us that we have a religious obligation to help others in need, even in the midst of a dangerous situation. If we see someone who is struggling, we should do our best to help them, even if it means putting ourselves at risk.
Trust in Allah. The Quran teaches us that "Allah is with those who are patient" (2:153). This means that we should trust in Allah and His help, even when we are facing difficult or dangerous situations. We should remember that Allah is always with us and that He will help us to overcome whatever challenges we face.
Pray for safety. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "When you hear the call to prayer, respond to it, and if you are praying, then complete your prayer." (Bukhari) This hadith teaches us that we should pray for safety whenever we are faced with danger. We should pray to Allah to protect us from harm and to guide us through these difficult times.
