Here are some thoughts on the topic from Islam perspective 🏵️🏵️
In Islam, atheism is considered a form of disbelief (kufr). Allah says in the Quran, "And if you asked them, 'Who created the heavens and the earth?' they would surely say, 'Allah.' Then how are they deluded?" (31:25).
This verse asserts that the existence of God is self-evident and that those who deny it are misguided.
Muslims are encouraged to reflect on the marvels of creation as proof of God's existence.
Allah says in the Quran,
"Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], 'Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire'" (3:190-191).
Islam also emphasizes the importance of reason and encourages believers to reflect deeply on the signs of God's existence in the world around them.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Verily, reflection is the mirror of the heart, so observe well what and how you reflect" (Tirmidhi).
However, it also maintains that there are limits to human reason and that ultimately, faith and revelation are necessary to fully comprehend the nature of God and His will.
Allah says in the Quran, "But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission" (4:65).
From an Islamic perspective, morality is seen as being grounded in God's commandments and His creation of the world with a specific purpose.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The first thing that Allah created was the pen, and He said to it, 'Write.' It said, 'What should I write?' He said, 'Write the destiny (qadar) of everything until the Day of Resurrection'" (Muslim).
Atheism, which denies the existence of God, is seen as problematic because it can lead to moral relativism and a lack of accountability.
Allah says in the Quran, "And whoever disbelieves - let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts" (31:286).
This verse highlights the fact that those who reject God's existence will be held accountable for their actions on the Day of Judgment.
