Here are some thoughts from Islam perspective 🏵️🏵️👇

Using rituals can be a powerful way to connect with God -Allah (SWT)- and build a strong foundation of faith. One of the core beliefs of Islam is the belief in the oneness of Allah (SWT). The verse "Say He is Allah, the One and Only" (Surah Al-Ikhlas, 112:1) emphasizes the central importance of this belief.

As Muslims, we are instructed in the Quran and Hadith to perform various rituals as a means of expressing our faith and submitting ourselves to Allah (SWT). For example, the five daily prayers (Salah) are a mandatory ritual that provide a structured way for Muslims to connect with Allah (SWT) multiple times throughout the day.

Similarly, reciting the Quran regularly, fasting during the month of Ramadan, giving charity (Zakat), and performing the pilgrimage to Makkah (Hajj) are all key rituals that help us to build a stronger relationship with Allah (SWT).

In addition to the mandatory rituals, Islam also emphasizes the importance of voluntary acts of worship (Nafl) as a means of earning rewards and strengthening our relationship with Allah (SWT). For example, offering voluntary prayers (Sunan and Nafila), making supplications (Dua), and reciting the remembrance of Allah (Dhikr) are all recommended practices that can help us to grow in our faith and connection to Allah (SWT).

At the heart of all of these rituals is the fundamental belief in the importance of submitting ourselves to Allah (SWT) and seeking His guidance and forgiveness. As the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said in a Hadith, "The deeds most beloved to Allah are those done regularly, even if they are small" (Sahih Bukhari).

Ultimately, using rituals in an Islamic perspective helps us to cultivate a deeper relationship with Allah (SWT) and draw closer to Him, as we remember Him throughout our day and seek to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to Him.
