Here are some thoughts from Islam perspective 🏵️🏵️
In Islam, justice is fundamental and one of the core principles emphasized in the Quran and Hadith. The concept of justice is much deeper in Islam as compared to the tarot reading. It encompasses social, economic, moral, and political aspects of life. Allah (SWT) has enshrined justice as part of His divine attributes and expects all Muslims to uphold justice in all their affairs. In the Quran, Allah (SWT) says:
“O ye who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.” (Quran, 4:135)
Islam emphasizes the importance of balance and moderation in every aspect of life, but the concept goes beyond the idea of balance of thoughts, emotions, and actions as portrayed in the Justice card of the Tarot deck. The balance in Islam relates to how a Muslim balances his or her deeds between fulfilling the rights of Allah (SWT) and the rights of His creation. The believers should avoid both extremes of neglect or overindulgence in one’s personal, social, and spiritual obligations.
Like the Tarot card's symbolism of a sword, Islamic teachings also highlight the power of authority and decision-making. Still, it is important to note that the authority and decision-making power must be in line with Islamic principles. Any judgment that goes against justice and fairness goes against the essence of Islam.
In the end, while the Tarot's Justice card's symbolism may have some parallels with Islam's principles of balance, justice, and decision making, it is essential to note that Islamic teachings go beyond just personal balance and requires Muslims to uphold justice in all aspects of life, with moderation and in line with divine teachings.
