Here are some thoughts from Islam perspective 🏵️🏵️👇
In Islam, anger, anxiety, and loneliness are considered negative emotions that can harm a person's spiritual, mental, and physical well-being.
1. Anger: In Islam, anger is not a prohibited emotion, but it should be kept under control. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran, "And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous. Who spend [in the cause of Allah ] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good" (3:133-134). The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also said, "The strong one is not he who defeats his adversary by his physical strength, but he who controls himself while in anger" (Bukhari). Therefore, Muslims are encouraged to manage their anger and seek Allah's help in controlling it.
2. Anxiety: Anxiety can be a debilitating emotion that can affect a person's life and faith. In the Quran, Allah (SWT) says, "Those who believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured" (13:28). Muslims are encouraged to seek comfort and solace in the remembrance of Allah and trust in His plan for their lives. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "If Allah wants to do good to somebody, He afflicts him with trials" (Bukhari), meaning that difficulties can be a means of purification and growth for a believer.
3. Loneliness: Islam places great importance on building social connections and community. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran, "And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided" (3:103). The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also said, "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor" (Muslim). Muslims are encouraged to seek out relationships with other believers and to support each other, especially during difficult times.
"He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him." (Quran 59:22-23)
In the end, Islam recognizes negative emotions like anger, anxiety, and loneliness and provides guidance on how to manage them through faith, self-control, and community.
