Here are some Islamic perspectives 🏵️🏵️👇
Islam teaches that the universe was created by Allah with a specific purpose and design.
The Quran, the holy book of Islam, emphasizes the power and wisdom of Allah in the creation of the universe, and it invites humankind to contemplate and reflect upon the signs of Allah's creation.
The Quran describes the creation of the universe in several verses. One of the most famous verses is Surah Al-Anam 6:101, which states:
"[He is] the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He has no consort? He created all things, and He has full knowledge of all things."
According to Islamic theology, Allah created the universe out of nothingness (ex nihilo) by commanding it to be, through His power and will. The creation of the universe is understood to be a deliberate act of Allah, and it is seen as a sign of His mercy and love for humanity.
Islam teaches that the universe was created in stages, as mentioned in the Quran, Surah Fussilat 41:9-12:
"Say: ‘Do you indeed reject Him who created the earth in two days and set up equals with Him?’ That is the Lord of the worlds. He placed on it firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures'] sustenance in four days without distinction - for [the information] of those who ask. Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, "Come [into being], willingly or by compulsion." They said, "We have come willingly." And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and as protection. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing."
