From an Islamic perspective, the Timewave Zero model can be seen as a helpful framework for understanding the grieving process.
However, it is essential to recognize that Islam offers a unique perspective on grief and loss that is rooted in the Quran and the Sunnah. 🏵️🏵️🏵️

In Islam, death is not seen as an end but as a transition to the next life. Muslims believe that Allah (SWT) is the ultimate source of comfort and solace during times of grief, and they turn to Him for strength and guidance.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Verily, Allah has written for the son of Adam his provision, his death, his contentment, and his misery." (Muslim)

The Islamic perspective on grief emphasizes the importance of patience, perseverance, and faith.
Muslims are encouraged to seek solace in prayer, charity, and acts of worship during times of loss.
The Quran says, "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient." (2:155)

The Islamic concept of tawakkul (trust in Allah) also plays a significant role in coping with grief.
Muslims are encouraged to rely on Allah's mercy and compassion during times of hardship, rather than turning to worldly solutions or distractions. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "If you trust Allah, He will provide for you as He provides for the birds. They build their nests but you do not see them feed their young except that Allah feeds them. So trust Allah and He will suffice you." (Tirmidhi)

In the end, while the Timewave Zero model offers a helpful framework for understanding grief from a secular perspective, Muslims can find solace and guidance in their faith during times of loss.
The Islamic perspective emphasizes the importance of patience, perseverance, faith, and trust in Allah during times of hardship. By embracing these values, Muslims can find comfort and meaning in their experiences of loss.
