From an Islamic perspective, the theme of authenticity and self-expression is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Here are some verses and Hadith that illustrate this: 🏵️🏵️🏵️

1. Tawbīyah (توبية) or self-purification:

- "Verily, Allah will not change the condition of a people as long as they do not change their state of affairs" [Quran 13:11].
This verse emphasizes the importance of personal responsibility and self-improvement in achieving positive change.

- "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Verily, Allah does not accept anything except that which is done with sincerity (ikhlaas).'" [Muslim].
This Hadith highlights the importance of sincerity and authenticity in all our actions and intentions.

2. Akhlāq (أخلاق):

- "Verily, Allah commands justice, the doing of good, and giving to kinsfolk. And He forbids indecency, transgression, and wrongdoing. He admonishes you that you may take heed" [Quran 16:90].
This verse outlines some of the core moral values that are central to Islamic teachings, including justice, kindness, and good deeds.

3. Adab (أداب):

- "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Verily, Allah has prescribed excellence in all things. So if you kill animals, kill well; and if you slaughter, slaughter well; let each one of you sharpen his blade and let him spare suffering to the animal he slaughters.'" [Bukhari].
This Hadith also highlights the importance of adab or good manners and etiquette in our actions.
By being gentle and kind in our approach, we can achieve positive outcomes while still remaining true to our beliefs and values.

4. Amr bi al-ma'rūf wa nahī 'an al-munkar (أمر بالمعروف ونهي عن المنكر):

- "Verily, Allah commands that you should render back the trusts to those, who entrusted them to you, and when you judge between men that you judge justly" [Quran 4:58].
This verse emphasizes the importance of enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong in all our interactions with others.
By promoting positive values and discouraging negative behaviors, we can contribute to a more just and equitable society.
