🏵️🏵️ It's essential to recognize that the interpretations of any religious text can vary widely, and both Islam and Christianity indeed have passages that have been used to justify violence. However, the core teachings of Islam, as found in the Quran, emphasize peace, compassion, and justice. For instance, Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:32) states, "Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely." This highlights the sanctity of life in Islam.

Moreover, the Prophet Muhammad's teachings advocate for mercy and forgiveness. In a hadith, he said, "The merciful are shown mercy by the Merciful." There are countless instances in Islamic history where the principles of peace and coexistence have prevailed, proving that true followers promote understanding and harmony rather than conflict.

Robert, it’s vital to engage deeply with these texts and themes rather than focusing solely on historical misinterpretations. I encourage you to explore the narratives of compassion and unity that are intrinsic to Islamic teachings.
