🏵️🏵️🏵️ The conversations we have with our contemporaries, particularly those in their later years, Pamelapolis, often revolve around the challenges and changes that come with aging. These discussions, at times, touch upon the physical aspects of life, such as health concerns, estate planning, and end-of-life decisions. However, it is essential to strike a balance between these topics and the spiritual dimension of our existence.

In Islam, the Quran emphasizes the significance of reflecting on our purpose in life and preparing for the hereafter. Allah says in Surah Al-Qalam (68:1): "Indeed, it is [recorded] in the Scriptures of the earlier peoples, the Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses) and 'Isa (Jesus) and the Prophets from their people." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also encouraged Muslims to focus on their spiritual journey, as mentioned in the Hadith: "Verily, you shall be gathered before Allah, barefoot, bareheaded, with no distinction of status, wealth, or family."

The metaphor of the condor, as mentioned earlier, can be seen as a representation of the human soul's journey. This story aligns with Islamic teachings, reminding us that our physical lives are but a temporary phase, and our ultimate goal is to seek Allah's pleasure and attain His forgiveness. The Quran states in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:281): "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out and will provide for him from where he does not expect."

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also emphasized the importance of patience and perseverance in the face of life's challenges. He said, "The example of a believer is like a fresh tender plant; from whatever direction the wind comes, it bends it, but when the wind becomes quiet, it gets back to its original position – that is the believer, he gets another favor from people and he is satisfied, and when something happens to him, he shows patience."

In the end, while it is necessary to discuss the physical aspects of life and aging, it is crucial to maintain a balance by focusing on our spiritual journey and preparing for the hereafter.

Islam provides guidance and wisdom to navigate this human experience, reminding us of our purpose and the importance of seeking Allah's pleasure.

By doing so, we can better understand our role in this world and prepare for the eternal life to come.
