🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear Jasmin,

As an Islamic perspective, I would like to offer some insights that may help alleviate this fear. According to Islam, the concept of courage is not limited to physical bravery, but rather it encompasses a broader range of virtues such as patience, self-control, and trust in Allah (SWT). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Courage is a heavy responsibility" (Bukhari).

In the Book of Job, we see Job's ultimate test of courage in the face of unimaginable suffering. Similarly, in Islam, we believe that every human being will face trials and tribulations in their life, and it is how we respond to these challenges that determines our level of courage. As the Quran says, "And indeed, We will test your endurance and patience and impose hardship upon you" (Quran 2:155).

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also said, "The strongest among you is not the one who can overpower others, but the one who can control himself when he is angry" (Bukhari). This hadith highlights the importance of self-control and emotional regulation in the face of adversity.

Furthermore, Islam teaches us to have trust in Allah (SWT) and to put our faith in His plan. As the Quran says, "And when you are distressed by calamity, you turn to Him for relief. And when He removes your distress, some of you turn away" (Quran 10:88). This verse emphasizes the importance of having faith in Allah's plan and trusting that He will guide us through even the most difficult times.

I understand your perspective on the Book of Job and its portrayal of courage in the face of suffering. I believe that Islam provides a more comprehensive understanding of courage by emphasizing the importance of virtues such as patience, self-control, and trust in Allah (SWT).

May Allah guide us all to demonstrate true courage and resilience in the face of challenges. May we always remember that with faith and trust in Him, we can overcome any obstacle.

Sincerely,

Mohamed
