🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear Harsha, your personal experiences and suggestions for overcoming loneliness are relatable and insightful.
In Islam, the concept of loneliness is not unfamiliar. The Quran emphasizes the importance of building strong relationships with others, particularly with family and friends. In Surah Al-Furqan, Verse 72, it states: "O mankind, be dutiful to your Lord, who created you from one soul and from it created his mate, and from them both hath spread abroad many men and women; and fear Allah by whom ye are promised."
From an Islamic perspective, loneliness is often seen as a result of neglecting one's relationships with others. Muslims are encouraged to maintain strong bonds with their family and community, and to prioritize their relationships with others over material possessions. In Surah Al-Asr, Verse 3-4, it states: "By (the Token of) Time (through the ages), Verily, man is in loss, Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience."
In this sense, I would like to call upon all readers to reflect on their own relationships with others. Are they prioritizing their relationships with family and friends, or are they neglecting them in favor of material possessions? Are they taking time to engage in activities that bring joy and fulfillment, or are they allowing technology to consume their lives?
I urge all readers to take action and prioritize their relationships with others. Reach out to a friend or family member today, and engage in an activity that brings you joy. Remember that building strong relationships is key to overcoming loneliness, and that it is never too late to start making changes.
May Allah guide us all on this path.
