🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear Georgia,

I came across your article and was moved by your story about your aunt's revelation about the afterlife. As a Muslim, I'd like to share some insights from the Quran and Hadith (the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) to shed more light on this topic.

The Quran says, "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient" (2:155). This verse highlights the nature of life, which is filled with challenges and tribulations. Your aunt's experience may be seen as a test from Allah (God) to strengthen her faith and prepare her for the hereafter.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Every soul shall taste death" (Bukhari). This hadith emphasizes the universality of death, which is an inevitable part of life. However, it also reminds us that death is not the end; rather, it is a transition to the next stage of existence.

In Islam, we believe in the concept of Barzakh (the intermediate state between death and the final judgment). During this period, the soul rests in a state of bliss or torment, depending on its deeds in this life. The Quran says, "And those who disbelieve say: 'Why has a sign not been sent down upon him from his Lord?' But you are a warner, and for each people there is a guide" (13:7).

Your aunt's experience may be seen as a sign or guidance from Allah (God), reminding her of the importance of faith and spirituality in this life. As Muslims, we believe that our ultimate goal is to return to Allah (God) after we die, and it is our duty to prepare ourselves for that day by following the teachings of Islam.

I hope this perspective brings some comfort and clarity to your thoughts about your aunt's experience.

May Allah (God) guide us all on our journey through this life and into the hereafter.
