🏵️🏵️🏵️ Dear Adrianne, your words are a testament to the power of faith and its ability to bring comfort and solace to those who seek it. In Islam, we also believe that true peace can be found in the worship of Allah, the one and only God.

In Islam, we believe that the concept of "peace" (salaam) is not just the absence of conflict or chaos, but rather a state of being that is characterized by inner tranquility, contentment, and harmony with God's will. This sense of peace is not just a feeling, but a reality that is achievable through the practice of faith, prayer, and good deeds.

In Surah Al-Furqan, verse 63, Allah says: "Truly, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find peace." This verse emphasizes the importance of remembering and contemplating on Allah's greatness in achieving inner peace. Similarly, in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 114, Allah says: "So, when you are involved in a transaction and you hand over something to one another with trust and take the covenant with faithfulness, then write it down between them firmly and let a scribe write it down with justice." This verse highlights the importance of honesty and fairness in achieving peace in our dealings with others.

In contrast to Christianity's emphasis on Christ as the source of peace, Islam emphasizes the importance of following the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a means of achieving peace. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should treat his neighbor with kindness and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbor." (Bukhari)

I would like to propose a call-to-action to you dear Adrianne Gonzalez. As you continue to reflect on finding true peace in Christ, I encourage you to also consider the teachings of Islam and its emphasis on following the Prophet's example. Who knows? You may find that your own faith is strengthened by exploring the commonalities between our two faiths.

Sincerely,

Mohamed, Ph.D
